Hi! We’re the Richter Center Ambassadors… your student connection to Fresno State’s Jan and Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning.

Our diverse group was founded in 2008 and has evolved and grown since then and we even helped spawn the Richter Center’s other two students leadership programs – the Reflection Facilitators (ReFs) and the S.E.R.V.E. Committee.

We are here to promote service on and around campus. That means that we’re here for you! We can help you find community service opportunities, talk to you about fitting these activities into your schedule, and discuss the benefits of volunteering.

We also help out at almost all of the Richter Center’s events on campus. Feel free to come on over and talk to us (we’re easily spotted in our snazzy red polos!).

One of our biggest projects to date is the “Picture the Change” campaign. We’ve collected hundreds of pledges and also presented the campaign at the 2010 Continuum of Service conference in Portland, OR in hopes of inspiring other campuses to follow suit.

So, keep your eyes peeled for our “Picture the Change” booth around campus, and feel free to visit us in the Richter Center office in the Thomas Building, Room 107.
