Your 2012-13 Richter Center Ambassadors
Hi!
We’re the Richter Center Ambassadors… your student connection to Fresno State’s Jan and Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning.
Our diverse group was founded four years ago and has evolved and grown since then. We currently have seven of the eight colleges on campus represented, including the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, College of Arts and Humanities, Lyles College of Engineering, College of Health and Human Services, College of Science and Mathematics, College of Social Sciences, and Craig School of Business.
Basically, the 14 of us are here to promote service on and around campus. That means that we’re here for you! We can help you find community service opportunities, talk to you about fitting these activities into your schedule and discuss the benefits of volunteering.
We also help out at almost all of the Richter Center’s events on campus. Feel free to come on over and talk to us (we’re easily spotted in our snazzy red polos!).
One of our biggest projects to date is the “Picture the Change” campaign. We’ve collected over 300 pledges and also presented the campaign at the 2010 Continuum of Service conference in Portland, OR in hopes of inspiring other campuses to follow suit.
So, keep your eyes peeled for our “Picture the Change” booth around campus, and feel free to visit us in the Richter Center office in the Thomas Building, Room 107.
