Becky Pings

The thing I love about service is being able to share it with others. Helping people realize how much they can do for themselves by doing things for others means everything to me.

Becky Pings is a sophomore majoring in Psychology, and is a member of the Smittcamp Family Honors College. Becky has participated in a wide variety of community service events, ranging from helping the National Relief Network with post-Hurricane Katrina reconstruction efforts to assisting with organizing a clean-up of the San Joaquin River with RiverTree. She is actively involved with the Junior Grizzlies Baseball League, a division of the Fresno Grizzlies that gives children and adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities an opportunity to play baseball while realizing their strengths and growing as individuals. Becky’s passion is working with the developmentally disabled community, and she hopes to start her own program for disabled adults after graduating from Fresno State and pursuing a Master’s Degree in social work.
