Kayla Lawler is a third year student from Ramona, California majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in math. She is also a member of the Smittcamp Family Honors College and serves as an officer in Fresno State’s Tau Beta Pi, Pi Tau Sigma and Society of Women Engineers chapters. While growing up, Kayla was an active member of the Girl Scouts of America and explored service through local community events. She continued to be involved in her community throughout high school and now at Fresno State, Kayla volunteers regularly through MESA Saturday Academies and at the student-run Bulldog Pantry. Kayla shared that she is very excited to further her involvement in the Fresno community this year and hopes to encourage her fellow students to become more active in the community and make a difference in the lives of others.
