“You make a living my what you get. You make a life by what you give.” -Winston Churchill
Lucca Petrucci is a sophomore from Madera, California majoring in Business-Marketing. He is a part of the Smittcamp Family Honors College and serves as the Smittcamp Council Historian. Lucca was introduced to service at a young age by his grandfather, who created an annual pumpkin patch and hayride for the elementary students in Madera. Serving the community became a much larger part of his life freshman year of high school. He began to serve the Madera community through organizations such as Future Farmers of America, Associated Student Body, and one of his favorites: Interact, a Rotary sponsored service club. Through projects such as the Interact Haunted House and building playgrounds for the unfortunate in Ensenada, Mexico, his love for serving children grew. Last year at Fresno State, Lucca pledged that service would always be a huge part of his life. He has served the Fresno community by participating in the Discovery Center cleanup, school supplies drives for the El Dorado Park, and volunteering at Rotary Storyland and Playland. He is very excited to get more involved with Rotary Storyland and Playland and work with children in the Fresno community! His goal this year is help Fresno State students find a community service opportunity that they truly enjoy helping out at and one they will continue to serve the rest of their life.
