Song Vang

Song Vang is a senior majoring in Deaf Education and Linguistics with minors in Sociology and Urban Civic Education and earning a certificate in Administration and Leadership for Community Benefit Organizations through Fresno State’s Humanics program as well as Co-Curricular Leadership and Special Events Certificates. While attending Fresno State, Song has volunteered for organizations such as the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Center Inc., the American English Institute, the Fresno Street Saints, and the Sierra Foothill Conservancy. In 2011, Song served as a Team Leader for Alternative Spring Break and planned a Celebration of Diversity event. In the summer of 2012, while studying abroad in China, PG&E recognized Song’s dedication to the community with a Bright Mind Scholarship.  In addition to being a Richter Center Ambassador, Song is a student member of the Service-Learning Subcommittee of the Academic Senate, on the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a leader of the Fresno State Food Recovery Network Chapter, and is serving her third-term as a Richter Center Reflection Facilitator.
