Song Vang is a senior majoring in Deaf Education and Linguistics and earning a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership through Fresno State’s Humanics program as well as the Co-Curricular Leadership Certificate. While attending Fresno State, Song has volunteered for such organizations as the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Center Inc., the American English Institute, the Fresno Street Saints, and the Sierra Foothill Conservancy. In 2011, Song served as a Team Leader for Alternative Spring Break and planned a Celebration of Diversity event. In the summer of 2012, while studying abroad in China, PG&E recognized Song’s dedication to the community with a Bright Mind Scholarship. In addition to being a Richter Center Ambassador, Song is a student member of the Service-Learning Subcommittee of the Academic Senate, the President of Amerasia, USAC (University Study Abroad Consortium) Ambassador, and is serving her second-term as a Richter Center Reflection Facilitator.
