JOCELYN BOE is a third year student in the Smittcamp Family Honors College currently pursuing a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in vocal performance.  Jocelyn currently conducts research under Dr. David Lent in the Biology Department as preparation for the Biology Department Honors Program.  She also takes part in the campus opera program facilitated by Dr. Anthony Radford.  This is Jocelyn’s second year serving as an Ambassador with the Richter Center.  Previously, Jocelyn has volunteered with various organizations, such as the Bulldog Pantry and the St. Agnes Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Jocelyn is also a founding member of the improvisational troop FLOCC, which performs to raise funds for local community benefit organizations. Prior to entering Fresno State, Jocelyn volunteered with City Impact in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco with Eighth Period Underground for three years. Her experience in the Tenderloin developed Jocelyn’s passion for serving others. She plans to continue forward, fostering that passion as an Ambassador, gaining experience, and encouraging her fellow students to take part in community service.
