MALA SINGH is a senior, pre-dental student majoring in biology. She is an active member in the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP), serves as the Vice President of Public Relations for the Pre-Dental Club, aided incoming freshmen and transfer students as a Dog Days Orientation Leader, and conducts research with fruit flies. Mala’s passion for service began when she started volunteering at a local Sikh temple. Afterwards, she got involved with other community service opportunities: Fresno State’s 2016 Alternative Spring Break Program (Stone Soup team), Fresno City College’s Asian Festival, and the Central California Social Welfare, Evaluation, Research, and Training Center. Mala has continued to enhance her leadership skills while joyfully giving back to the community. She returns to the Ambassador program for a third year and hopes to inspire her Fresno State peers to get involved with community service, as well.
